Hahko Meets Neil MacLeod
Neil MacLeod is an alchemist who can turn dystopian sounds into human emotions.
He is a fascinating artist that can navigate the world of sound and bend those sounds to his will, either in the service of his own voice, or in the assistance of others. I managed to catch him on a rare day off between production and songwriting sessions in Auckland, a stretch he admits could continue on if he didn’t have a life to return to.
We have an amazing chat about session culture, dive into the NZ psyche and discuss “Tall Poppy Syndrome’, as well as giving some well deserved flowers to friend of the podcast Oscar Keys.
