Third wheeling Paradise Press
Pat and Bel very quickly got sick of staring at the empty walls of their flat during lockdown.
They founded Paradise Press because they were short on work and long on time. They were surrounded by artists, but not by their art. Housing in New Zealand is at crisis point, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get to enjoy beautiful creative works.
We talk about travel and community and how lucky we are to be surviving covid with creative projects to show for it. They weigh up the perks of being a professional millennial slashie, and what it’s like to experience Auckland for the first time during rahui.
Bel is big on storytelling, so it was a delight to Third Wheel and hear the story of this lovely friendship born out of unprecedented times.
