Hahko Meets Samara Alofa

I found a portal to another musical world at Mermgrown, stepping into Whammy Backroom & remaining transfixed and transported by the sounds and the voice of Samara Alofa.

Their set was mesmerising and fluid, and had a sense of personal power that I find so rarely in a live setting. I was overwhelmed with a sense of enjoyment and an excitement to share this sound and artist with as many people as possible, and to try to show how high the bar is for everyone else to aim at.

The mesmerizing sound was truly reflected in the conversation we had, which felt very intimate, personal and open while also discussing some of the biggest topics like community, creativity & portals.
